Progress In America (a.k.a. Studs Before Duds)

Politics, Politics. Although most people shove them aside, or push their noses up at politics, I enjoy it. And I say "IT", because politics is like a machine that has the ability to lie to you. Or, rather, the ability to lie to everyone. I watched the "Presidential Town Hall" Debate last night, and I saw lots of inconsistent remarks come from both parties. Nothing out of the usual there, you might say....but seriously, if these people are running for president, don't you think they should be held to a higher moral standard? Okay, so maybe they forgot their stance on something, or the opponents stance. I mean, everyone has mistakes, everyone does things when they're kids, so that I understand, but it makes one think.

McCain told us that in the future, our car will ran on a battery. Really? What does Senator McCain's car run on now? (Upon mentioning this to several of my friends, they exclaimed that his cars run on bull sh*t....) But this was supposed to be the debate designed for McCain, and he was supposed to brush Obama to the curb...But I saw none of this. And to make matters clear, I am a registered Democrat. I saw a man making stabs at another candidate left and right. I saw a man who's jacket was definitely too tight. And I saw a man who said "My Friends", 22 times in 90 minutes.
Perhaps McCain's most poignant "my friend" came when he said, "By the way, my friends, I know you grow a little weary of this back-and-forth."

You got that right my friend.
