Muzik to soothe the soul.

Criminals in the state of Bihar, India, will soon be adding music to the ever growing list of things the prison is trying in order to calm the inmates. Classical Indian music is being played over the loadspeakers at the prison, and it is thought that the music will help ease the attitude of these hardened criminals.

"We are hopeful this special musical treat will indeed end the jail monotony and soften the hardened attitude of criminals," Bihar Prisoners Welfare Officer Jai Prakash Das states.

Bihar is one of the worst states in the country, and lawmakers are doing everything they can to curb the violence. Spiritual awakening, and yoga have already been offered to the prisoners in order to try and uplift their spirits. The jail considers this a treat, as the music is played 4 hours a day, only if the prisoners have bahaved themselves.
